Columns menu
The right most header button in a file list contains a pop-up menu triangle. Clicking it opens a menu of all available columns in a list.
Checked items in the menu represent columns which are already in the list. The Name and Icon columns are dimmed because those columns cannot be removed.
Columns can be added to file lists using the button at the right end of the list header, or inserted at a particular location using a contextual menu.
To add a column to the list, choose the column you wish to add from the columns menu. Once it appears in the list, you can reposition it in the list by dragging it to the desired location.
To insert a column between two existing columns, open a contextual menu with a Control-click between the two headings between which you wish the new column inserted. Choose the column you wish inserted from the submenu.
The Name and Icon columns are the only columns which cannot be removed from the list. Any other column can be removed by dragging the column heading up out of the heading space, or by selecting it from the menu of available columns described above when it is checked.
Use the command reset the columns to their default settings.
List window configurations save which columns are visible, column order, and column widths. Click the Configs toolbar item and choose from the menu that opens, or use the command to save the current column settings. Use the command if you want the current column setup to become the default arrangement used whenever a new list window is opened. If you do not save the current setup as a configuration, the changes you make by adding, removing, resizing, and reordering the columns will be discarded when the window is closed.
